Surface stains need the right approach
Some stains sit on the outside of teeth and may respond to professional polishing. We assess the stain, tooth surface and any restorations before recommending care.
What we consider
- The location and type of staining.
- Natural teeth, veneers, crowns and other dental work.
- A polishing approach suited to the surface.
- Habits that can contribute to recurring stains.
Polishing is different from whitening
Stain removal aims to address suitable surface deposits. Whitening changes the shade of natural teeth with a different process. Neither treatment can promise to remove every type of discoloration.
